Hidden Figures

the True Story of Four Black Women and the Space Race
Aug 20, 2018MLROSIER rated this title 4 out of 5 stars
From author Margot Lee Shetterly comes a kid-friendly version of her famous book about the insanely intelligent women who worked for NASA as "computers." This beautifully illustrated non-fiction title reads like a picture book, and would be perfect as a read-aloud for middle grade students. These persistent women overcame many obstacles to succeed, and coincidentally, all four were high school math teachers at some point in their careers.
