This is the second Turkish movie I have watched and the other was good, but I didn't pay as much attention. There is a compelling story very well told. Reading about the details I came to appreciate there is stunning cinematography especially at the very beginning and then later of stunning scenery and to advance the story. I was also struck by the music and was surprised to learn that it was by the original novelist who apparently turned down the offer to do the script or be the director. The characters are all believeable. Underlying is cultural conflict. The ending is unexpected and seems to resolve a loose end that the viewer might have overlooked.
