Bear is bored in his cave. He decides he will have a feast to share with his friends. But he opens his cupboard and sees that it is bare. One by one his friends happen by with some food. Before long there is a feast for everyone. But Bear is ashamed because he has nothing to contribute to this feast. His friends remind him that he has amazing stories to share with them. Throughout the story, Bear says thanks to his friends for their generosity. The illustrations were created in acrylic paint. They are colorful, but soft giving a warm and fuzzy feeling. The expressions of the animals are very well done so you feel happy when they are happy. This is my second experience with the Bear series and I am in love with these characters! They are a wonderful example of true friendship. No one is left out, no one is made to feel bad for any shortcomings. Everyone works together for the good of the group. And Bear is absolutely adorable. He is a character that you can't help but love! The writing is simple--letting the illustrations do much of the talking--but well done. This would be a delightful book to read especially at Thanksgiving, but any time would do. I highly recommend for ages 3-7
