This one has been recommended by other PCPL audiobook aficionados for a reason. The story has an interesting and thought-provoking premise - what if the earth started rotating slower and slower over time? You might expect an Armageddon-movie-like response, all panic and mayhem, but that's not what is presented here. Instead, you see the slowing through the eyes of a young girl. A girl who has the usual social pains at school, a crush on a boy, and a home life that has ups and downs. It's a more quiet book than I expected, with the events unfolding rather than crashing toward you like in other end-of-the-world narratives. I also loved the narrator's voice which makes it a great listen.
