Enigmatic psychologist Frieda Klein is the main character in this first of a series named after the days of the week. Frieda is a very controlled individual somewhat hard to warm up to but she grows on you after a while. In this installment, one of her patient's fantasies seems to intersect with the facts behind a local missing child case. Frieda decides she must go to the police. Once the story gets going (it takes a while) it's very enjoyable and though the perpetrator is not in question after a while, how he and accomplices will get caught keeps you guessing. A fairly large cast of peripheral characters and subplots keep the story moving along. A gut wrenching twist at the end just made this book for me.
