They ALMOST had me...And then I read about GRAINS being "okay". Dr. Atkins - who has yet to be beat by any of the newcomers - (likewise noted diabetes doctor Dr. Bernstein) would NEVER approve of ANY grain (or legume or tuber or starch or, obviously, sugar). Just another "wanna be" playing off the Low Carb bandwagon. (Yet I have to note that website information pretty much pushes the Atkins type less than 50 grams of carbs, moderate protein, high fat diet, which is good... so why the difference with this book - other than throw in some changes, add the word "New" - and, voila, more sales??? It is too bad that the network doesn't carry more of his works that are specifically LC oriented). Read instead "Low Carb High Fat Diet Revolution".
