This is one of the better books of the series. Great plot development, and I felt I knew the the characters in depth.
Two great battles are told, with lots of action and intrigue. I have always felt that the book is only as good as its villain and Cornwell has created a good one here, actually a few good ones.

One thing I love about reading Bernard Cornwell books is that I am always learning, and wanting to learn more. I always have Wikipedia opened up to research what I am reading, and this book was no exception.

Thanks for writing it, such a pleasure to read !
