How Endangered Species Are Being Rescued From the Brink
Mar 21, 2018SPPL_János rated this title 3.5 out of 5 stars
An antidote to the gloomy outlook for nature that is usually reported, this hearteningly thick book collects success stories of rescues from the brink of extinction, reintroductions to the wild, habitat restoration, and rediscoveries of species thought extinct. The world's most famous biologist reveals how small groups of dedicated advocates are making a difference for species from black-footed ferrets and California condors to flightless parrots and scavenging beetles. The trouble is there's actually too much good news; Goodall has so much she wants to share that the book sometimes zips too rapidly from one section to the next.
