Although the characters and setting were engaging, to say that the logistics were ill conceived would be an understatement. I felt hoodwinked reading this book to the end: Not only would the murder have been impossible to commit, but the baroque complications were inexplicable and unnecessary. To imagine not one but two broken-off syringes boogles the mind. The words uttered by the second victim and the explanation for them were beyond belief. Also, we were left to guess at the motivation behind the damning actions of 2 characters under suspicion--the meeting and affection on the part of one and the accusation on the part of the other. Huge loose ends dangled.
