After reading A Passage to India, I wanted to continue reading E.M. Forster’s novels. His novels tend to focus on class differences in British society. I didn’t enjoy Where Angels Fear to Tread as much as A Passage to India. I found A Passage to India to be more captivating. In Where Angels Fear to Tread, the descriptions of the characters were dull and the novel seemed never ending. I did read this novel quite quickly. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it better by reading slower. The plot was definitely not as strong as in A Passage to India. I can say with confidence that I did not love this novel, however the twist ending was interesting. - @BookLover of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
