While the story line is a bit far fetched, when you add the musical soundtrack the movie takes on a life of it's own. Take away the music and it would be just another live action film with a fairly predictable revenge plot and make no mistake this, as with the other films in this series are all about revenge.

Spoiler alert . . . this movie is terrible! The story is lame. It is disjointed and the there are so many absurdities that it is offensive. The movie is poorly cast and the acting is awful. Although they shamelessly borrow elements from the Swedish Millennium movies, and from David Fincher’s The Girls with the Dragon Tattoo, there is really no comparison. David Fincher’s movie is infinitely better and even the Swedish movies are better. This movie was worse than a waste of time.

Lisabeth Salander continues as the cyber superhero for the wronged women in her country. Great story and action. Agree with the many comments on the movie. Only thing that annoyed me about the movie was that everything was so perfectly timed to each character's agenda. No screw ups were involved. The game of chess is used to explain the exact discipline to Lisabeth, her sister, and the young child involved. Overall, movie was great.

A solid story. Well-paced, well acted and directed. This is much better than a lot of the American action genre drivel out there. Highly recommended. Need I say more?

This is a direct sequel to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but with a new cast which does a good job. Clever and gritty and with plenty of action and a few surprises delivered in a satisfying thriller. Sylvia Hoeks, the Dutch actress who played the villainous replicant Luv in Blade Runner: 2049 steals almost every scene she's in.

I am a big fan of the Millennium series and have read all of the books and watched all of the movies, including the Swedish versions. Spider Web didn't disappoint because I am so familiar with the series. For someone who is new to the series, it's just another violent, fast-paced, action film, but with a female lead. The characters are intriguing and potentially compelling if you know their back story but you will be lost if you don't.

Slight spoiler alert, like reading the movie's video case, or less.

Basically an SJW super hero movie. which would be fine by me if it was interesting. Her actual arc is interesting, but that is about 2 minutes of the movie.

This film combines a plot that makes no sense at all in which US hegemony is threatened, but they send on guy as a tourist to sort it out; The Swedish security forces get taken down by a dimwit; and I ended up not even caring if the world would come to an end, if the movie would end earlier.

This is combined with endless action sequences that are ridiculous. One of the hero's basically does a pullup with a shoulder that got shot through the bony mass; endless hacker sequences where with no advance notice and a glance at a phone, everything open in front of her. People can get ambushed from close range by ex-operators with sub machine guns, but only the bullets that support the obvious arc of the plot hit anything.

It is just the typical movie these days that has no reason to really be made.

I enjoyed the Girl with tattoo dragon movies the first 3 where so awesome but when they redid it with Daniel Craig is was AWFUL I hate when Hollywood wants to remake a movie and its bad and awful. I like this because it continues about Lisbeth Salander story and also a little about childhood also sister. This movie was more action and seeing Lisbeth more in action but the only thing I wish they would of had the original actors because they were very interesting to watch. I don't read the novels at all I should I really like the movies and I know the books would be more interesting. I was not sure they would keeping making movies or not, I like the title of this movie too, The girl in the spider's web and I hope they will keeping making movies which would be good.

Why are people easier on films like "John Wick", but seem to tear this film apart? This movie is action-packed, fast paced, and fun. It's true its not as dark, or complex as Dragon Tattoo, but its still pretty enjoyable. Give this movie a chance!

Basic action movie. Lisbeth wins in the end. Think I liked the Swedish version best of all the versions.

The attacker's M.O. matches that of Lisbeth Salander, a local hacker with a history of aggravated assault. If my daughter and I had a message for her... I just want to say, whoever you are, thank you.
