A solid telling of a history so rarely covered. Well-written and well-narrated. Definitely worth listening to the audiobook.

I thought this was excellent however did question the historical accuracy in some parts. It is not a well known history, certainly not taught in our schools, a disgrace really.

Story of Native American Martyrs that were taken advantage of so that we could have the fifty states we have today. Identifies how the Comanche's are so distinct from other Indian fighting bands, the truth of "searchers movie with John Wayne" portraying retrieving the white squaw: Cynthia Ann parker; who detested returning to white world till her death. Worth reading and learning that we again are intervening with history as seen in the Middle east wars. Five Comanche arrows for this story the best even the reader

Horrific and amazing - this is a serious look at US history from a perspective new to me - there is no whitewashing or softening of hard realities.

Very long and glad I listened to it on CD as it was hard to read and keep up. Wonderful to know about this history of the comanches from this CD.

An eye opening experience dealing with history that has been distorted by hollywood. This book gives insight to issues that we are wrestling with today.
