I was totally absorbed by this novel cum psychological thriller. The characters are vivid and compelling, sucking the readers into the dark world of child abductions, and also of domestic child abuse. The plot races forward on multiple tracks.

The latter portion of the book flags; the last two scenes in particular, seem a bit forced and chirpy.
