Daphne seems to have hit the jackpot by marrying Jackson Parrish. They live in a lovely Connecticut mansion and travel around the world, all the while raising two beautiful daughters. When Mrs. Parrish meets Amber, a kindred spirit, Daphne instantly feels a connection, perhaps someone to fill the endless void of sorrow that has plagued her since her sister’s death. We learn that nothing is what it appears to be.

The Last Mrs. Parrish is a fast paced novel featuring devious plot twists and turns that is told through the alternating perspectives of two women who both have their own agendas. Overall it was an enjoyable read that kept my interest and made me want to read "just one more chapter..."late into the night, however I didn't feel that it fully embodied the depth and intricacy of Gillian Flynn's "Gone Girl", despite it being hailed as its successor. Readers who've enjoyed similar novels such as "The Girl Before" and others that feature unreliable characters in the psychological thriller genre are sure to enjoy this novel.

This is the successor to GONE GIRL: sex, intrigue, and deceit.

A delightfully devious gem of a novel set among the glittering world of high-powered New York socialites, Missouri-born outsider Amber will do anything to get in, and slithers into the lives of Daphne Parrish and her perfect husband, Jackson. But the Parrishes themselves harbor secrets, and Amber soon learns how differently the game is played on their level. Perfect for domestic thriller fans and those who like revenge served with Louboutin heels.
