McDonald is a reliably excellent sf writer and this was just as gripping and interesting as the first novel of the series (“Luna: New Moon.”)

Oddly, one of the reviews excerpted in the catalogue entry above appears to be of a completely different book, Madeline Ashby’s “Company Town”.

A solid read with I think even more heart-wrenching moments that the first part. Ian McDonald manages to expand on the existing world without repeating himself - the Moon is even more vibrant and believable than before. Happy that a third book is coming out this year, this one went a bit too fast for me.

Didn't enjoy this as much as the first book but still pretty good, fast-paced, with enough of an ending to satisfy but still leave things open for more books in the series (I don't know if more books are planned but if they are, I probably won't read beyond this title).
