As someone that likes to cross genres quite frequently, I was very excited to see Baldacci venturing into the realm of fantasy.

This second book continues what was a great start to this series and has a powerful blend of captivating characters with an intriguing and mysterious world for them to solve. This novel answers some questions from the first, while introducing more for the next, and entertains the entire way.

For those that enjoy Baldacci, but find some of his federal agent/super cop series becoming a bit stale, this is a refreshing and exciting new way to enjoy Baldacci's work.

Very much looking forward to the next installment.

Fun read and eagerly awaiting the next book. Sort of Harry Potter meets the Hunger Games. Lots of great monsters and quick thinking.
