Godkin explores the impact of the reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone National Park in a child-friendly manner, and tells the story of how important they are to their ecosystem based on facts presented like a picture-book. Wolves and other predators are often portrayed negatively, however, they are essential to creating a thriving environment and have a positive and vital role to play and this book is clearly illustrates their necessity. Recommended for children interested in environmental issues, however, not for those looking for in-depth research.
