This is Caitlin Moran's engaging and amusing rallying call for our times. Combining the best of her recent columns with lots of new writing unique to this book, Caitlin deals with topics as pressing and diverse as 1980s swearing, benefits, boarding schools and why the internet is like a drunken toddler.

This is my first book of essays by Moran and it won't be my last. I enjoy Moran's writing and most of her humour. I did skip a few essays as I could not get into them. I also think I would have been better off reading this book in chunks rather than in one sitting. The essays are of similar nature so it kind of feels like it goes on a bit too long. I am looking forward to reading her other books.

I've thoroughly enjoyed all of Moran's previous books, and this is no exception. Moranifesto brings together previously published essays from Moran's regular column along with some new material, and absolutely every chapter is a gem. I did a lot of laughing out loud, but I also found myself close to tears and enraged, both on the author's behalf and on behalf of various marginalized groups. Moran writes passionately and eloquently about growing up poor/class in England; the utter danceability of Daft Punk's "Get Lucky; parenting and the trauma of miscarriage; her ardent love of David Bowie; the reality of modern sexism; and just about everything in-between.

Very good and most enjoyable ; perceptive comments with wit and humour.Easy to dip into with it being a collection of her columns. If you like our own Michele A*Court, this one should appeal.
