Nicolas Fox, international con man, thief, and one of the top ten fugitives on the FBI's most-wanted list, has been kidnapped from a beachfront retreat in Hawaii. What the kidnapper doesn't know is that Nick Fox has been secretly working for the FBI. It isn't long before Nick's covert partner, Special Agent Kate O'Hare, is in hot pursuit of the crook who stole her con man. The trail leads to Belgium, France, and Italy, and pits Nick and Kate against their deadliest adversary yet: Dragan Kovic, an ex-Serbian military officer. He's plotting a crime that will net him billions. and cost thousands of American lives. Nick and Kate have to mount the most daring, risky, and audacious con they've ever attempted to save a major U.S. city from a catastrophe of epic proportions. Luckily they have the help of an eccentric out-of-work actor, a bandit who does his best work in the sewers, and Kate's dad, Jake. The pressure's on for Nick and Kate to make this work--even if they have to lay their lives on the line. The fifth in the bestselling Fox and O'Hare suspense series that "[mixes] humor from Evanovich and Goldberg's books with the intricate cons seen in the best episodes of Mission: Impossible"--

Nice but could have been better. Much preferred the other books in the series. I felt like they focussed too much on Nick and Kate setting up their con than the actual con this time. No focus on Nick and Kate either

This book is the 5th in the Fox and O'Hare series, and although it stars out quite slow, the last half of the book is well worth reading through the 1st half (which gives a lot of interesting information about the Paris underground).

Fun quick read. If you like other books in series you'll like this one to.

I love this series; however, instead of the 5 stars I normally give these books, I only gave it 4 stars as it started out really, really slow. Eventually the action and humor that we've come to expect returned, thus I truly enjoyed the last half of the book. One of the things I've appreciated about all of Evanovich's series is that I rarely find any typos in them, which has become more and more rare these days. Although there are no grammatical errors in this book, there is one glaring error within the characters' conversation when one line read "Kate said" in a scene where Kate was not in that location at the time. All in all it was another very good read and I'm excited to see what adventure the next book will bring!

Another fun read by Janet with Nick and Kate. This time Nick pulls a con over Kate and while she's not happy about it, she seems to have mellowed over the time she has known him. Not sure how realistic any of it is...feels very James Bondish is many ways.

I, also could not finish this one. This series started out cute, lighthearted, and fun. By #4 it was loosing its appeal and becoming repetitive. I won't read any more of them.

I did not finish reading this one.
Too long and dragged out. Too much detail and descriptions of places in Paris that I could not pronounce..This book dragged in places too.

Always an outrageous, exciting adventure and always involving a rocket launcher! I enjoy this series immensely! It's good to not take things so seriously! :)

This is the first of the novels by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg combo that I've read. I like straight Evanovich novels better, even though this went fast and was enjoyable. Somewhat predictable.
