I have been a fan of Lindsey Stirling for a long time -- since America's Got Talent. And then all her YouTube videos and recently on Dancing with the Stars. This was a great insight into her life. She is the same person on camera as in this book. The pictures were adorable and fun and a great addition.

I appreciated her honesty and hilarity. The reason I didn't rate this book higher was because the writing quality, which felt basic and simple. Which is fine, she's obviously not a writer but she is a storyteller and I liked that. Also her battle was anorexia was discussed and woven throughout the book which was I was happy that it wasn't one chapter and then forgotten. Like the disorder, it popped up every now and again after the chapter where it consumed her life. I learned a lot.

I also liked how she discussed the work she put into her videos. Even though many parts felt like a motivational poster and kind of cheesy, I was okay with that. It's a part of Lindsey's persona. But I liked how she didn't skip over the hard parts and the hard work, describing all of her journey with humility and hilarity. It was a fun memoir and I still hope I get to shake her hand one day.

I completely agree with sasha!
This book is AMAZING and very heartfelt . She shared alot of interpersonal things with the world, reminding the world just because your famous or "self made" famous which i completely admire her for; that she and we are still human beings.
i laughed , i cried, i felt like i semi know her on a personal level with hos much she has revealed. she is truly is AN INSPIRING MUSICIAN.
i would recommend reading her book and continuing listening to her music , AND IF HAVE NOT YET, better start. you don't know what your missing !
