I absolutely love this book! I am always looking for ways to explain to my 3 year old son that your gender does not dictate what you do in life. This book is an excellent example of just that. Henry's family is obsessed with hockey and are upset to find out he wants to try ice dancing. They don't feel Henry should participate because it's a sport for girls. Henry is a determined little boy and refused to get back on the ice until his family let him try ice dancing. I like the message this book has and I really enjoyed sharing it with my son.

Loved this story . Henry is born into a hockey family , they all play hockey , including his Dad . But his interest is not hockey , but figure skating . But first he has to convince his hockey-obsessed family to let him follow his own path .
