Add a CommentThe cover and the publisher's description are a little strange, but the Critics Opinions are a much better indicator of the content of the book. I learned about our senses and how entangled they are with our perceptions, how virtual reality might be used to change our view of global warming by having the viewer experience the death of a coral reef, and how scientists are beginning to give disabled people a fraction of their lost senses or limbs. Since reading this, I have begun to notice frequent articles in the newspaper about new developments in these areas. Platoni is a writer who can make difficult concepts understandable, and she really opened my eyes to a future of broadened capabilities and possibilities.
