Loved it! Great characters! Agoraphobic landlord. Art student who only paints black male nudes (until she paints Francis). A young couple with a missing daughter. A young man with a weird string obsession. Sad but super funny at the same time!

A sadsack landlord agoraphobe wearing a bathrobe doesn't sound like the stuff of comedy, but this novel is certainly humorous. Rapp's Under the Wolf, Under the Dog is one of my favorite YA novels and I didn't enjoy this one quite as much, but Rapp certainly knows his way around language and he can describe his myriad characters and their circumstances like no other.
