This is an excellent title. Liberals and conservatives alike can appreciate Senator Cruz's honesty and conviction. We are at a place in our country's history where many politicians in both parties change their convictions on a daily basis. I believe that this is not the case with Sen. Cruz. Again, an excellent title, highly recommended.

I have a completely different look at Ted Cruz now since I last rated this book @ 5 stars...Cruz is a despicable man full of bullshit. Between Hillary Clinton and Ted Cruz, I wouldn't vote. Both would make terrible presidents. If this man is the republican nominee, I'm moving to France (I'm already a french citizen). To HELL with the GOP after what happened in Colorado. Trump 2016.

I am very thankful that we have a conservative Christian in the United States Senate who is knowledgeable of the constitution and is willing to stand up for the citizens of the United Stated to have their rights endowed to them because they are citizens. This man is brilliant, and I admire his expertise in being a litigator and arguing cases before the United States Supreme Court. I am very glad that he is running for the United States Presidency. This is a great book to read, my eyes have been opened on how politics actually are run in our government that needs to be fixed. Five stars is how I rate this book!

After reading the book, I have a greater appreciation for Mr. Cruz. He has been criticized and ridiculed by the left wing nuts as well as the establishment of his own party. The reason for the criticism is his determination to pass legislation that he campaigned on and keep his promise to voters. We need more legislators in congress that have a spine.
What is it with the "naturalist" posting multiple negative reviews on this book and multiple other conservative books. The "naturalist" should get a life.

great man, great book, great family - I hope he is our next president or VP. The liberals attack him because without all their government guarantees they would not how to earn a living like the rest of us.

Sad thing is many people do not fully appreciate how disastrous a corporate shill like Cruz would be in power, the effects to the domestic working class (and to the global citizen in general). They just see a sleazy politician.

Read this inspiring tome by one the most assertive defenders of the United States in politics.

Tomfinch – thanks for contributing Sen. Cruz's most admirable bio. Cruz's bio is incomparably successful, productive and honorable - especially regarding the U.S. Constitution, Declaration of Independence, the Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers - our foundational guides, next to the failed bios of both the current occupant of our White House and of the presumptive current “Progressive” regressive presidential candidate nominee for 2016.

”naturalist” = assumptive apparent anti-individualist humanphobe religious atheistic “Progressive” regressive – your totalitarian talking points are boring. Save your time, mind and our eyes – stop gorging on psychopathic inventive regressive “Progressive” tripe sinks.

Here's some info that's actually helpful.

Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz (born December 22, 1970) is the junior United States Senator from Texas. Elected in 2012 as a Republican, he is the first Hispanic or Cuban American to serve as a U.S. Senator from Texas. He is the chairman of the subcommittee on the Oversight, Agency Action, Federal Rights and Federal Courts, U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. He is also the chairman of the United States Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Space, Science and Competitiveness, U.S. Senate Commerce Committee.

Between 1999 and 2003, Cruz was the director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission, an associate deputy attorney general at the United States Department of Justice, and as domestic policy advisor to U.S. President George W. Bush on the 2000 Bush-Cheney campaign. He served as Solicitor General of Texas from 2003 to May 2008, after being appointed by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott. He was the first Hispanic, the youngest and the longest-serving solicitor general in Texas history. Cruz was also an adjunct professor of law at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, from 2004 to 2009. While there, he taught U.S. Supreme Court litigation. Cruz is one of three Cubans currently in the Senate.

Cruz was the Republican nominee for the Senate seat vacated by fellow Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison. On July 31, 2012, he defeated Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst in the Republican primary runoff, 57%–43%. Cruz defeated former state Representative Paul Sadler in the general election on November 6, 2012. He prevailed 56%–41% over Sadler. Cruz openly identifies with the Tea Party movement and has been endorsed by the Republican Liberty Caucus. On November 14, 2012, Cruz was appointed vice-chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

On March 23, 2015, Cruz announced he would run for the Republican Party nomination in the 2016 U.S. Presidential election.

He drinks Molson and Moosehead.
His favorite bands are Canadian.
He believes that every city in America should have a professional ice hockey stadium.
He believes the election of the neocon Harper as the prime minister of Canada years back was equivalent to the Second Coming.
He thinks he is one of us, but isn't he really a Canadian?
Ted Cruz - - Canadian Values?
[Doesn't Ted Cruz's wife work at Goldman Sachs? The majority investors or shareholders in GS are BlackRock, the Vanguard Group and FMR LLC [Fidelity]. Those are the three major investors in the Corrections Corporation of America and Geo, who are also Hillary Clinton's two major campaign donors. Notice anything odd here?]
And look at that face? That's the face only a demented mother could love!
