Fablehaven is a great book. I like how we get to see how you can get through difficult situations by on your own, even when everything seems to go wrong. The description of the fairies made them seem really beautiful. Overall, it was a really good book.

I didn't expect this book to be as good as everyone says it is, but honestly, Fablehaven was actually very good and it left me excited to continue reading the series.
I think that this book was very creative and hilarious and for the most part, I think it flowed very nicely.

While Brandon Mull is not J.K.Rowling in talent, the story is very Harry Potter like, children battling to save the magical world from the evil society. They were mildly interesting.

OMG, this book is BOSS! I absolutely, hands down, loved this book. It's a mix of fantasy and adventure fiction, which are my too favorite genres. It actually starts out a bit boring- once I quit at the first chapter, but then tried again, actually finishing this book and loved it. As many other people say, the rest of the books in the series are EVEN BETTER! It's a tough competitor for my favorite book on my list. It's fierce competition between: Harry Potter, The Penderwicks, Percy Jackson, and Fablehaven. if you ever get a chance check out those series too. Overall, this book is just ruling the library and I LOVED it!! You just HAVE to read it. BTW, Seth is a really mischevious boy who makes the story interesting. If you don't know him, he's one of the main characters along with his older sister, Kendra.

Overall this was pretty good; like any first volume of a series, there is a bit more setting everything up than usual. The only thing I really didn't care for was the very stilted, proper way the grandparents talked sometimes. It just didn't sound natural. Otherwise a really good start to what I anticipate to be a good series.

I love these books! I would definitely recommend the rest of the series. If you like being completely surprised by plot twists, they are a must read.

THIS.HAS.TO.BE.THE.BEST.BOOK.LIKE.EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To people who are just reading through the comments, this is a must read if your OK with a little bit of killing in a book and if you like mysteries or adventure. This book is sooooooooooooo awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To me the rest of the series is more interesting so if you find this a tiny bit boring, read the sequels. They are even better than the first book!!!!! (FYI the next book is called " Rise Of The Evening Star " It's sooooooooooooo A.MAZE.ING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D !!!!!

One of the best series I have read, right after Harry Potter. It starts out in the first book introducing you to the magical preserve, Fablehaven and the creatures within. Later on the books become more intense and intricate. A great read for anyone interested in fantasy or magic. I recommend this book!

"Remember how worried you were when we dropped you off?" Mom said as she buckled her seatbelt. "I bet it wasn't half as scary as you imagined."
Kendra and Seth shared a very special look.
