Scene 1, drunk driving duo runs over woman. Scene 2, entire movie plot given away at the book signing... Everyone and everything in this movie is predictable which makes for a disappointing watch and a waste of some really good acting talent.

Supernatural thriller that is a bit too gruesome at times, through not contrived. Great acting cast and script. Surprise twist, and suspenseful.

The first third of the movie is good as it contains some great interactions between Forest Whitaker and Anthony Mackie, two of the finest African-Americans actors currently making films. Then the film goes downhill and becomes a poor man's Saw. Definitely not a family picture. Sorry to say, but this is probably the worst Whitaker film that I have ever seen. The extras show that Whitaker was motivated to make this film by his understanding of the world's religions and that somehow the agony and sorrow experienced by the characters was some kind of repentance for sins committed.

They all are good actors but the story has it's holes, or the editing let key things out.

Uneven story flow. Seems like a made for TV movie, the way it was shot and use of fade outs& ins. Agreed that it was a different role for Forrest Whitaker, but the story needed a stronger co-lead than Anthony Mackie to play off-of Forrest. Sanaa Lathan & Mike Epps make appearances, but their talents are used very little.
