This is like a Nancy Drew mystery but set in California environment.

If you are a Veronica Mars (TV) fan, this film offers pure pleasure. But even if you've never heard of Veronica or Kristen Bell (possible in some remote part of the globe, I suppose, though probably unlikely), you'll still have a pleasant couple of hours watching this movie. And especially today, who doesn't need a relaxing evening once in a while?

I love the show, but I was a little disappointed by this movie that I had hoped to give the storyline a bit more of an ending. It does but doesn't at the same time.

I agree with 'LaRoyal' and 'voisjoe1' but I actually forced myself to painfully watch this movie for all of 40 minutes ... hoping that something could possibly redeem the miserable start.
I was anticipating a sort of crime drama but I was sorely disappointed.
I find it beyond belief that this is what "Young Adults" are interested in watching.
Whenever I see the Young Adult tag on the box I usually try to avoid picking it up. Needless to say I am far from being a young adult.
The main character was very pretty but the whole thing played out like a bad soap opera.

Cool movie!

I'm a bit confused on how the story goes.

Cardboard characters, predictable plot... is this geared for young adults? If so, maybe the plucky heroine has a tiny bit to offer. For some reason I had high expectations but they were all dashed within 15 minutes.

I was afraid to watch this, having been such a fan of the show but was glad I did! It was a high school reunion-some were higher than others-but what of that, I digress. So, yeah, everybody was about the same though Logan Echols as a US Navy fighter pilot stretched credibility past the breaking point but the movie was tons o' fun and I highly recommend it.

Unwatchable? Agreed. Very flat and boring. When Joel Silver is an associate producer and you have the always lovable Kristen Bell it's quite a shock to have a film this bad. Dohring brought the film down and he's no longer able to pull in a crowd; casting was a huge issue. Even Veronica's dad should've been cut. Part of the issue was this is a film not TV, and as such it should have a different vibe and larger budget. For example, Logan is accused of killing his celebrity girlfriend but prances around in full military dress uniform - through an airport - without ANY paparazzi?? Ever? Don't waste time on this.
