Each one of the 100 recipes specifies the type and quantity of plants needed; clearly numbered instructions detail each step; and 400 photographs show how to place every stem. Traditional pots and plant containers are used, but so are less conventional vehicles and methods, like shutters and planting under glass. A basic how-to chapter provides planting techniques, a tools and materials list, sourcing and plant care information, and expert advice.

This book is mostly likely for the advanced gardener, but will inspire the novice or beginner to learn more about plants and how to create long lasting container arrangements. While each arrangement is unique, they share an understated elegance that equally balances emphasis on plants and containers. The photography is outstanding and the arrangements are photographed against neutral backgrounds that highlight the colors and shapes.

This is a gorgeous book with lots of tips for creating interesting and unique floral arrangements. It doesn't seem very realistic for the everyday person, but would make a nice book to have around and look at the pictures.

Beautiful and interesting projects to inspire the gardener.
