An awesome end to the trilogy. Suspenseful and a very good read, it presents the characters those of us who read the first 2 books already met, but in such a way that you'll understand this story even if you haven't read those earlier books. The heroes are humanly heroic, and you have main characters with human failings that cause pain in the body and soul. The final win is believable and hard fought, and we are left wondering what happens next because Ender is 100 years away but the aliens are not. No spoilers here - get the book and read it!!

Before I proceed, I want you to think about every 5 star book you have ever read, that left you breathless with every page, and remove it from your memory. Card and Johnston together make this book into the most masterfully written book I have ever beheld. At the end of a chapter, I would be left with a small feeling of hope, for whatever characters/entity it concerned, and in 5 words, it would be pulverized. I seriously had to pause almost every chapter, to breathe, because I was crushed (pun intended) emotionally. This was a thrill from start to finish, and I advise you make some time for this book, because you will never want to put it down!
