In this contemporary retelling of "The Great Gatsby," seventeen-year-old Naomi Rye becomes entangled in the drama of a Hamptons social circle and a tragedy that shakes the summer community.

Add a CommentI found this to be a successful retelling of "The Great Gatsby" and was delighted to find out that Gatsby was a girl. Great if you like "Gossip Girl," too.
I loved this modern retelling of the Great Gatsby set amongst the Gossip Girls and selfie-whores of our generation. Making the main characters female gave a fresh perspective, and the alternate take on the ending was evocative of our current obsession with the digital world.
