I like the story and the relationship but the vocabulary isn't that interesting it's not a great pieace of read that's going to emotionally attach you to a character it's a good book if you like the relationship drama and all that. And as the series progresses it doesn't get that much better. No hate though

This book was recommended to me by a friend so I decided to pick it up. I only got halfway through the book when I decided it wasn't worth my time. I hear a lot of people complaining about the over the top romance or the weak female protagonist but my main concern was that I found the book to be boring and slow paced. I didn't quite find the main character to be a complete damsel in distress but after a while she definitely got annoying. She complains constantly and views herself as different from other girls, which is a trope I especially hate in YA fiction. If you really adore romance, love triangles, and vampires I would recommend Twilight, otherwise don't waste your time.

I did read this. I regret doing so. I want to forget that I ever touched this book. It really is terrible.
If you want a decent summary of this book, here it is: take Jane Eyre, now make it modern day. Now get rid of most of the interesting parts of Jane Eyre, like the gothic undertones and mad woman in the attic, and replace them with the dullest version of a teenage girl I've ever read. Add in (or enhance, depending on how you read Jane Eyre) creepy abusive relationships and the wimpiest version of vampires, and you have Twilight.
Now go away, Twilight. I want you to be stuck in the "what were we thinking?" barrel of pop culture of the 2000s, right up there with invading Iraq and Good Charlotte.

This book is about vampires.

Bella Swan moved to Forks after living with her mother in Arizona, now she is living with her father Charlie.

Bella is endangered after falling in love with Edward Cullen, the Vampire.

I recommend this book to a person who likes vampires and romantic stories.

This book is special because it became a movie. Also, it was the #1 New York Times bestseller.

There's a lack of beautifully crafted sentences within the pages of this novel, but the storytelling sure makes up for it.

This book was amazing—a romantic, twisting plot, full of thrill and suspense.
Bella was NOT boring or stupid, the book was altogether WELL WRITTEN, and it displays reasonable morals (love is not cheap or corny; to sacrifice yourself for the one(s) you love is a beautiful death; and not everything that you think is bad may actually be bad).

Note: In 'Breaking Dawn' (4th book in the saga) Edward and Bella do NOT have a demon child together—yes, Edward and Bella do have a bit of copulation and Bella gives birth to a half vampire, half human, but THEY'RE MARRIED FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!

An interesting vampire book for teen readers.

I disagree. I think Twilight is a very good book. I also think that Bella is NOT boring she is just finding her place. Imagine if you just moved and u see a superhot vampire at lunch. I also love there relationship it is so cute and corny.

The beginning of the book is slightly interesting because you want to know what’s going to happen to this girl whose life is all of a sudden being turned around, but once you’ve read the entire thing, you realize that all she does is complain, whine, and depend solely on her vampire boyfriend who is, as she thinks, the epitome of perfect. Honestly, the whining and complaining and lack of excitement in her character would lead you to think she is depressed. Bella is a flat and boring character, and Edward is not much more interesting. Now, the Cullen family and Charlie are who I want to know more about! The Cullen family is interesting, and every time they are mentioned in the book you just want to know more about this mysterious family. Charlie, Bella’s father, at least seems to have a life, and honestly, I was more interested in reading about how his day was going instead of Bella’s. The individual members of the Cullen family actually seem to have a personality! I think Meyer could have done so much with this book, is she had decided to make the two main characters more interesting. Still, it was an alright book to read.

This book, a romantic love story, has been compared to so many other love stories of other reads that I have read. The beautifully, irresistible tale of two star-crossed lovers will leave you comparing it to Shakespeare's famous Romeo and Juliet. The story begins with a cryptic, but deep pondering of death in the perspective of Bella Swan, the protagonist. Readers will later on find out what she means in that brief prologue, and uncover different suspicions along the way. I still do not understand, to this way, why many people have such low views on vampires, and this whole series. In my opinion, Stephanie Meyer is one of the best authors our world can wish for, and her books are way beyond spectacular. This book is no exception. 5/5

Bella Swan really does hate that small town she used to live in with her mom and dad before her parents got divorced long ago. But this time something is different from when she was last here. There is a mysterious, attractive, and intelligent family of vampires who she has an undeniable relationship with which can turn out good or really, really bad.

The book Twilight by Stephanie Meyer was filled with love and vampires. Bella Swan, a girl from Phoenix, has a new step-dad who plays on a baseball team that travels. So, hoping to make her mother happy (by not making her stay home) she goes to live with her father for a few months. Along the way she meets Edward, who she falls madly in love with. Unfortunately, he has a strong desire to suck the blood out of her because he is a vampire. Will they make it ... I loved the book for the fantasy love that just makes you so excited and wanting more. I rate the book three out of five.
