Runaways Axi, sixteen, and Robinson, seventeen, who met on a cancer ward, leave small-town Oregon on a cross-country trip to experience the best of life before it is too late.
This novel was more than a bit weak. I get why they went on their road trip, but the story itself was very unrealistic. The characterization didn't feel developed and the story was very cliche. I just wish there was more depth to the story and perhaps a little more realism. Overall, for me this book didn't strike the right cords and was a miss.
I really enjoyed this book! from the rebelliousness to the lustful love, its truly a great book to add to one of your reading lists

For those of you interested in a book like the Fault in Our Stars, this is the one for you. The book definitely took me on a journey I was not prepared for one, but one I was happy to be on. It is a quick read, as I finished it in one day. The takeaway from this book is that there are people placed in our lives intended to leave a stamp on hearts and minds. If we embrace this idea than we no longer are consumers of idle living, but actual present living. A great read to snap you back to reality.
If you liked Fault in Our Stars, you will like First Love. Two teens with tough home lives in small town American what to cut loose. I wasn't sure when I read the first few chapters, but then about halfway through it was Oh, Now I Get It. If you cry easily, you might need some tissues. Like Axi (like the name) I was kind of wondering where the Amber Alerts were and the where are my children? And how did they steal so many modes of trasnportation across the U. S. and not get caught? Where did the money come from because I'm pretty sure the amount they had didn't go very far. I don't want to give away anymore with my questions. A quick read. Literally, I finished it in a day.

It's a qiuick read but not one of his best. He's cranking them out too fast now. He also writes better alone.
James Patterson is one of my favorite authors, I'm not a big fan of his romance novels but, this one was really great. I also recommend it to teens/tweens.

I liked it. Not a fan of the ending, but I liked it. Not my first pick, though, and quick read.

I loved this book! Quick read. I knew it would end badly, however, it still got to me. A real tear jerker!
