Beautiful, touching and authentic! Standiford's fascination with Russia and autobiographical character of the book make the story sparkle. It really brought back memories of the eighties in my native country. Visit the author's website for photos she took during her one semester in Leningrad in 1982: http://www.nataliestandiford.com/the_boy_on_the_bridge_119061.htm
