Twenty-seven years in the making, The Gardens of the Vatican is a private photographic tour of eight centuries of "green thoughts in a green shade." I first read this when it came out in 2009. I recently watched the Young Pope on HBO and the Vatican gardens they showed were so beautiful, it reminded me to read this book again. The pictures are stunning and the stories interesting.
