A great book - very relevant to the current political climate. Some of the best analysis I've read on the slavery problem and the lead up to the Civil War. The book is well written, concise, and well thought through. Of course. Southerners steeped in their revisionist history are not going to like it, and the book is also critical of the stubbornness of abolitionists. The truth is tough to swallow.

Not much that can be said that "The Library Journal" review hasn't already said.

Full of errors. Poor analysis skills. Judgment clearly biased without any rational basis.

As the Library Journal review says... "Not Recommended"!
