Checked out Nov 2018 - read part of the novel and took it back. Not what I thought it would be.

Unfortunately a lot of hand wringing, angst and indecision that I found eerily similar to other novels by Beth Harbison. I did have to read to the end to see what, if anything, was ever decided by the guilt ridden, stuck in the past character Quinn. I did like how the novel ended, but the practical side of me questions a lot of unanswered issues that would still have to be resolved.

An enjoyable fluffy romance with plenty of swoony moments and dashes of humour throughout. While Quinn can be a bit irritating with her refusal to let go of her past, watching her rediscover who she is and what she really wants was worth it. I also loved her gay best friend, Glenn, who runs the specialty wine and cheese shop next door. If you like these kinds of romances, this one won't disappoint.

Not her best book. Stalled badly in the middle, and since this is chick lit, that is not the best scenario. Harbison's earlier novels were more fun.

I could see the ending coming from a mile away but that didn’t matter. A great “chick lit” title that was the perfect read for a vacation by the lake.
