Another great Baldacci Book. Robie is a very likeable and well defined character. Even though he's an assassin, you can sense his human side. The young girl, Julie, while understandably tough, is rather obnoxious and difficult to take sometimes. Several other characters are also well defined and interesting. The plot keeps you listening with many unforeseen twists and turns, but comes together well in the last couple of chapters.
Listened to this on a road trip and it was riveting. It did seem like a large percentage of the answers to the questions that were piling up came in the last chapters, but the loose ends were dealt with in due time.
Will Robie is someone you respect and root for despite his hired assassin occupation. We see multiple facets of him, but never find out why he does what he does. . . Looking forward to reading more in the Will Robie series and other Baldacci books.
The first in the Will Robie series, very similiar to his other characters ( John Puller, and Oliver Stone ), but Baldacci always seems to come with a number of twists and turns that keeps the reader guessing. Narrators do a fantastic job as well.
Outstanding. Very well written with great intrigue. 10 of 10 stars
My first novel by David Baldacci and it was awesome!! I listened to this on audio CD and have to say I sat in my car when arriving at my destination on several occasions to listen a little more. Great story that really keeps you guessing what is going to happen next and wondering how all the pieces fit. It is totally amazing how everything comes together in the end --great authors can do that!! I loved this story!! 10 out of 10 for me.
I am listening to The Innocent and I CD 8 is not there.
Wow, terrific book. Very exciting, good characters and fast moving. Another winner for a very good author. 9 of 10 for me.
