SDH & closed-caption review:
[o= non-existent; 1 = poor; 2 = fair; 3 = good, 4 = excellent].
English sub-titles are available; closed captions are not available.
I gave the DVD sub-titles a 1 rating = poor. The words are lower-case, tiny, in white font with hazy/blurry edges. They're not superimposed over a black background and are very challenging to read.

[The jacket blurb states the DVD is closed-captioned; this is incorrect, as is the SPL bibliographic "full record." The DVD only has subtitles; no closed-captions are available.]

There are many unsung heroes in history, and this is one of them. Though he was not visibly active like the officers in the movie "Valkyrie"; Dr. Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a quiet Lutheran minister who became a light for those in the dark places during the Nazi regime.
I have always meant to watch this movie and now that I did, I find it encouraging that even when the country was under the control of twisted morals, he stood his ground - even at the cost of his life.
