Fascinating book. Not just for kids

In 2003, two robots soared through the solar system to land on Mars, with the goal of finding out if Mars ever had water. Expected to last for three months, the robots were still exploring Mars six years later. Join Steven Squyres and his team as they design and build the robots, and then puzzle and rejoice with the discoveries the robots make. Profusely illus. with photographs.

Now my kids think Steve Squyres is a totally awesome science dude, too. A great look at one of the best scientific minds of our times.
And a tribute to one of the great successes of modern project management theories and practices.

Are you following Curiousity's visit to Mars? Why not get some background by learning about Curiosity's predecessors-- Spirit and Opportunity. Excellent photos and a gripping story of behind-the-scenes action!
