This is a wonderful novel. The thrillers that interest me are those interwoven with historical realities (of whatever epoch), that not only entertain but enrich my understanding. Portrait of a Spy satisfied me in every way. It is one of the very best thrillers I have read/listened to. Simon Vance's narration contributed significantly to my enjoyment. I recommend this audiobook without reservation.

A little of the same plot but love following the life and times of Gabriel Allon. The reader(s) of Daniel Silva's books is/are always excellent.

For some reason I had a hard time getting into this one. 6 of 10 for me.
