When a talented but hapless traveling songwriter (Henry Phillips) moves to LA to shake things up, his luck changes overnight. Thanks less to his inept manager than to a wild case of mistaken identity, he falls backwards into a string of packed gigs, a record deal and even the promise of love. But he who lives by the whimsy of show business dies by it: an innocent miscommunication over a bagel makes him the victim of a vicious rumor in the tabloids. Luckily, somewhere between rock bottom and the middle of nowhere lies the perfect terrain for Henry's dark and hilarious songs.

In the spirit of 'Spinal Tap.' A matter of taste.

Man, there's not even a Facebook page for this movie. No one has heard of it. And it's a shame! 10 minutes in, I thought I was not going to make it, but I'm glad I stuck in there. Good movie about a guy who does his own thing and realizes the importance of doing it his way. Love the songs. Just a light lot of fun with a good storyline. His observations on people are pretty funny. Good indy film.

Really great movie. It shows how messed up the industry can be.

Hilarious! A "serious" spoof on the entertainment industry with the bonus of twisted folksy songs. Had me laughing out loud.
