Meeting the different gods from different pantheons is always a delight. Reading different interpretations of them is one of my favorite things when it comes to fiction.

I am curious about Dream's prodigal brother more and more now.

APL Ruiz's resident authority on comics has called Watchmen "the Citizen Kane of graphic novels" and I agree it's a staggering achievement, but I now think The Sandman reaches farther and deeper.

This volume features some of the most iconic comic artwork in history by Kelley Jones, along with continuing the tale of the most critically acclaimed comic book series in history.

Not for kids, every single volume of the Sandman graphic novels packs a punch to the gut leaving one with endless questions about life, philosophy, morality, and mortality- along with bewilderment and puzzlement on just how a long running comic book series could possibly be amongst the greatest literature ever written in any medium.

So what happens when Lucifer decides to quit, and the gates of Hell are closed? Where do the dead go? Where indeed does Lucifer go? These questions are all answered in Season of Mists, and answered to my great satisfaction. Gaiman has once again provided a story that makes the reader think on a wider scale, but he also never hesitates to give us an appreciation of the smaller moments in life, be it the birth of a baby or a beautiful sunset

Another excellent Sandman volume. I can only wish I read this as they were published.
