An interesting return to an era past by music of that time. Brings up ethical issues and shows the reality of how another person's dysfunction can injure a caring person. There are scenes of emotional and physical abuse that someone who is recovering from or has recently escapes such abuse may not want to see. Is the bad brother a bad seed? Did the good cop do the right thing?

Some people lead relatively peaceful lives and some just have a hard time with life. This is a story of brothers, one turns out “normal” and one “troubled.” The one that is troubled may have been that way from birth or maybe this is one of those movies that relate to psychological problems of soldiers returning from the carnage of wars such as Vietnam, etc. Will this movie have a realistic ending or a Hollywood ending? There are a lot of difficult questions in this film and some viewers may not like the fact that not all problems are solved in this film.

Interesting story about how a local cop tried to protect and nuture his yonger brother who had been in trouble all his life no matter how he was loved by his family and a great girl. A bid slow in between events but worth watching, especially for those who has a super hard-case black sheep among siblings.
