Nate thinks he is going to have a social studies test. He tries to get out of school, but he realizes he the test is not going to happen. Teddy gives Nate a fortune cookie that predicts Nate will surpass all others today. So Nate tries to surpass everyone, but ends up with seven detention slips. While in detention, Nate gives all the slips to the monitor and the monitor tells Nate she has never gotten that many slips from one person. Big Nate ended up surpassing all others after all.
