An amazing book! I have read multiple other books by Esther M. Friesner. But I believe she has outdone herself on this one. This book makes you want to read more and more till the end. The ending is not very satisfactory although. This book has another part. The sphinx's queen. The Sphinx's queen is a good continuation to this book and has a very satisfactory ending. I would recommend both these book to everyone.

I got this amazing book for Christmas. I always loved historical rulers so this fictional retale of Nefertiti's life was perfect for me. I hope others who love plot twists and evil priests get to enjoy this book as much as I do.

I love historical fiction set in ancient Egypt and this story of Nefertiti's childhood did not disappoint. My only complaint is that the book need with such a huge cliffhanger that I had to begin reading the sequel immediately. ;)

If you have read and enjoyed "Nobody's Princess" and its sequel "Nobody's Prize", you won't be disappointed with "Sphinx's Princess". The story itself it enjoyable enough, the writing style exactly the same in the aforementioned books and holds enough entertainment to keep the reader interested. It's not a book that requires deep thinking yet it's not what I would call a "fluff" book, as there is emotional connection you feel with the characters. Once again, if you are familiar with Ms. Freisner's other works, you are in for much of the same. Which leads me to my only true 'complaint': a lot of the plot bears a little too much resemblance to "Nobody's Princess". Even a few characters seem to resurface, with new names of course. However, it was still a entertaining enough read.
Bottom line: It's a good read if your looking for something 'light' but will still hold your interest.
I look forward to reading its sequel :)
