Mayes takes us back to her beloved Bramasole for another look at Cortona (20 years after "Under the Tuscan Sun"). She and her husband have also purchased and are restoring a hermitage, and it is wonderful to read the descriptions of local food and wildlife. — Meg K., Communications

Frances Mayes writes poetry as prose , no doubt ! And she's in love with Luca Signorelli ! Again , I loved it !

This is another of Frances Mayes’s delightful, evocative books about her life in Tuscany. It is a rhapsody on the daily life of the area, focussed on food, friends, art and revelling in life; the joy of being. As always, the language is beautiful.

Her books make me want to pack up and move myself to Tuscany to experience it all for myself.

The best thing about this book is the recipes that are included at the end of some of the chapters. I've copied all of them and can't wait to try them!
