It is Dec. 17, 1776. Hounded by superior British forces, his army decimated by disease, desertion and lack of funds, General George Washington faces the unthinkable: he is losing the war for American Independence. An accurate enactment of an important battle. Well worth seeing. (BUT, the film tends to portray the troops as being personally loyal to Washington,.. instead of them being politically aware and deeply committed to The Cause of self-government,.. as was the often the case.)
