Life After Death

The Evidence

Unlike many books about the afterlife, Life after Death makes no appeal to religious faith, divine revelation, or sacred texts. Drawing on some of the most powerful theories and trends in physics, evolutionary biology, science, philosophy, and psychology, D'Souza shows why the atheist critique of immortality is irrational and draws the striking conclusion that it is reasonable to believe in life after death. He concludes by showing how life after death can give depth and significance to this life, a path to happiness, and reason for hope.

Only feeble-minded liberals need "spokesperson"! Intelligent people read books, listen to opinions/ideas and make up their own minds.

Let's put it this way: if there was an afterlife, I would still not ask D'Souza to describe it. I disagree with numerous Conservative and Neocon beliefs, but I would hope you can still do better than some brainless, indoctrinated corporatist-puppet like D'Souza as your spokesperson.

As the famous saying goes, "There are some things that remain true, even if Dinesh D'Souza says them."

Excellent review of the evidence from experiential, philosophical, rational, and religious points of view. Compelling. Brilliant reasoning.

Lame "evidence". If you read this book for whatever reason, I'd recommend Carl Sagan's "The Varieties of Scientific Experience".

While still reading this book I want to note for myself mainly that the author presents arguments but there is nothing in this book that can be called 'the evidence'.
I would like to see a similar book written from the other viewpoint.
