Eli is a young boy who is trying to be the man of the house while his father is away at war. He is his moms "fix-it" boy, tinkering with the broken gadgets in the home to fix them for her. He suffers from nightmares and instead of sleeping imagines and designs interesting inventions. He takes a trip one night with Mr. Moon to the Moonpowder factory to bring back his good dreams and has to test his bravery and put is "fix-it" skills to work to save the factory and himself, from his nightmares.
The art style of the book is wonderful and it is a well written, sweet story that young children will love. Especially if they are into robots and gadgets.

This book seems to resonate with both boys but especially my 5 y/o. Have taken it out a couple of times.
