Some things are too painful to remember--and too deadly to forget.

Found: One girl, age 13. Unconscious. Unharmed. Unclaimed. Unidentified.

Lost: Everything.

J.D. may not know the truth about her past, but she knows she's in danger, and she can't shake the dark visions haunting her dreams. She won't be safe until she figures out who she is and where she came from. She can trust no one, not even herself--especially not herself. Because it turns out there's one thing even more terrible than forgetting her past: remembering.

Read this book as a class at school. rather annoying that this library only has the first book of the series.

overall an interesting concept. if you like this book i think the movie: the vow could possibly interest you as it had myself

<3 this book!!! =) Though it was a little hard to grip and it started slow. At first, it was "she" and I'm like Who The heck is 'she?'??? But overall, a very good book. It just gets hard after J.D. is Jane Doe, then J.D. then Alexa, and then Jordan. Then J.D. But really good book. It's a weird how J.D. only knew Daniel for a day, and now they're best friends? A little weird. J.D. doesn't have the best personality, but at least better than mine. I love it. Amazing =)

This series was a light, but gripping read. Not great literature, but pretty good. It would be good for reading on an airplane.
You have to read the entire series to know what has actually happened, though, so do not get just the first one.

I think the beginning of this book was a bit slow, true. But it really improved and the storyline progressed as well. Overall, this series is amazing, it just ended off vaguely, i was unsatisfied with the final book.
Otherwise, I think it is totally worth reading. Full of action, suspense and mystery. Its great,

13 year old Jane Doe (J.D.) finds herself in an explosion and loses her memory. She ends up in a center, hated by everyone around her. J.D. meets 14 year old Daniel, a determined boy who won't share his past with J.D. They become friends, but the next day, she gets called away because the center found J.D.'s mother. Her mother is not what J.D. thought she was, so she teams up with Daniel. The two go against J.D's mother, and they find the truth. At least part of it. Book Two Betrayal continues the series.
